Tomato pacchadi

Ingredients :

Tomato : 1/2 kg

Green chillies : 1

Tamarind : a small piece

Turmeric powder : a pinch

Salt : as required

Coriander : a fist full

Jaggery :  a small piece

Oil : 4 tablespoons

For Seasoning :

Red chillies :3

Chana  dal :1/4 tablespoon

Urad dal : 1/2 tablespoon 

Mustard : 1/4 tablespoon

Jeera : 1/4 tablespoon

Fenugreek seeds : 1/4 tablespoon

Asafoetida : a pinch

Procedure :

1.Take a kadai,add one spoon of oil.As the oil heats up add fenugreek seeds,mustard seeds,chana dal,urad dal,red chillies,asafoetida and jeera.

2.Once all of these are fried take this to a separate plate and keep them aside.

3.Now add three spoons of oil and add the tomato pieces,tamarind,turmeric powder,salt, jaggery and the sliced green chilli and saute them in a medium flame.

4.Once this is done take it a plate and let it cool for a few minutes.
5.Take a mixie jar and add the fried ingredients which are under seasoning.Once this is ground to powder add the cooked tomatoes,coriander and grind for a while.

Yummy and spicy tomato chutney is ready☺️
****Coriander is optional and you can add it according to your taste.You can also try a variant without coriander.******
